football camp

Presented by Valley Forge High School

About the Camp: This football camp is for any child grades 1st - 8th. The camp will be run by TCYFL cluster coaches and local high school coaches from Valley Forge and the surrounding areas. Assistance will be provided from current high school football players as well. There will be a lot of different drills run through-out the day ranging from safe tackling and blocking technique to skilled drills for QBs, RBs, WRs, and defensive positions. The camp will be broken up into two divisions based on the grade your child is going into. The younger group will consist of kids in grades 1st - 4th and will focus on all around fundamentals. Your child will go through rounds of offensive and defensive drills hitting on each major position and the skills needed for them. This will ensure that our younger players are getting all around knowledge of the game and what it takes to play the different positions. The older group will be grades 5th - 8th and they will be going through a positional skills camp. When you sign up your child will pick an offensive and defensive position and then during the camp they will work with area high school coaches to further advance their skills and knowledge at these positions. No matter the age or the style of camp they will be participating in your child will leave with a great deal more knowledge of what it takes to play the game of football, the effort needed, and the fundamentals for succeeding. The camp is being hosted by JAMIE MEDER a former TCYFL football player, local Valley Forge alumni, and current CLEVELAND BROWNS DEFENSIVE TACKLE! He will address the kids on his experiences, provide some football advice, as well as hang out with the kids through out the camp aiding with drill facilitation. We are looking to keep this camp fun and focused allowing the kids to experience as many aspects of football as possible. TCYFL sign-ups will be taken during the duration of the camp and a league commissioner will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. About TCYFL: The Tri-City Youth Football League (a full-contact tackle football league) is now part of the new Suburban Youth Football Conference (SYFC). This new conference consists of teams from: Parma, Parma Hts., Seven Hills, Brook Park, Middleburg Hts., Berea & Strongsville. Creating this new conference ensures that the youth football programs in these cities remain for years to come. The Tri-City Youth Football League has aligned itself with the three high schools in the Parma City School District. Team logos and colors will reflect those of the high school teams of Parma, Valley Forge & Normandy.
